Alma da Voz
International Choir Festival
Coordination:

A Festival of Sharing and Excellence
The “Alma da Voz” Festival project was created in 2020 on the initiative of the VIA VOZ CHOIR OF THE "CASA DO PESSOAL DA INFRAESTRUTURAS DE PORTUGAL", with the purpose of celebrating and promoting choral music. Since then, it has grown year after year, bringing together national and international choirs and winning over audiences through the power of voices and cultural exchange.
Over the years, several organizations have been giving their SUPPORT to the organization of the festival. Notably, in 2024, at the festival’s 5th edition, there was the participation of CORAL TAB – Choir of the Workers of the Municipality of Barreiro, and, SINCE 2025, a partnership with APCA / USALMA – Association of Teachers of the Municipality of Almada / Senior University of Almada. Year after year, the festival has been recognized either in Portugal or abroad.

Our goal for the “Alma da Voz” Festival is to establish itself as a national and international benchmark in the choral music landscape.

Almada, a stage for voices and encounters
Held on the south bank of the Tagus River, facing Lisbon, the festival transforms the city of ALMADA INTO A VIBRANT STAGE FOR MUSIC AND SOCIAL INTERACTION. Over the course of three days, the city welcomes CHOIRS FROM DIVERSE CULTURES, styles, and traditions. Concerts take place in several iconic venues, some of them rich in history and symbolism from our past.
